Domestic Violence Can Happen to You

Don’t let anyone make you feel small so they can feel big. Your power is within you. You are extraordinary. Know this.”

Woman to Woman site appreciates you coming to browse our categories, articles, videos and comments made by real people in real related circumstances.

Over the past months we have blogged about current issues, and have dedicated the whole of October 2010 to Domestic Violence Awareness articles and videos.

We have received a number of touching letters from readers, fans, survivors, and even persons from Domestic Violence Organizations. These correspondences are encouraging as we continue to speak out against domestic violence, domestic abuse and battery against WOMEN, MEN and CHILDREN. We ever so often forget that our children are greatly affected by violence they see or experience in the home.

There are people who believe and advocate that children have NO RIGHTS and therefore are at their mercy. Children are people too, though they are “little people.”

There are many great books and articles written on domestic violence against family members from social, legal and psychological perspectives. We encourage you to read and enlighten yourselves about domestic violence in general.

Domestic violence does not discriminate; it can happen to anyone. And remember, as the great Martin Luther King Jnr., eloquently put it: “Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.”
